Bungee and Fitness Studio

Thrive Movement is a locally owned bungee fitness studio. Jacobi Zimms (owner) is a 2013 graduate of Deer Creek High School and is raising her own family here, with her daughter currently attending Deer Creek Schools. Thrive Movement was born to bring bungee fitness closer to the DC community and to create a welcoming space where people of all fitness levels can find a way to move that they genuinely enjoy. Bungee fitness is a low-impact, high-energy workout that uses a supportive harness connected to a bungee cord. The bungee helps reduce impact on the joints while adding resistance, support, and a fun sense of freedom to every movement. Participants can bounce, jump, squat, lunge, and move to music while building strength, improving cardiovascular endurance, increasing balance, and boosting confidence. Because the bungee helps support the body, workouts can feel more comfortable and accessible while still providing an energizing challenge. It is appealing to people who want an exciting alternative to traditional workouts, enjoy music and group energy, or are looking for a fun way to stay active without putting excessive stress on their joints. No two people have to move exactly alike, making bungee fitness adaptable for a variety of fitness levels and abilities. Thrive offers bungee fitness along with strength training, cardio dance, circuit classes, line dancing, and other group fitness options. The studio also hosts private classes, parties, girls’ nights, team building events, and community socials. At Thrive, fitness does not have to be intimidating or perfect. The goal is to create a place where people can have fun, build confidence, connect with others, and feel like they belong. We are proud to be part of the Deer Creek community and would love the opportunity to welcome our neighbors into Thrive Movement.
